Grant's Tomb

Hailing from New York City with roots in Connecticut, Grant's Tomb is made up of conservatory-trained jazz musicians from across the United States. The majority of Grant's Tomb's members studied at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, just blocks away from Grant's Tomb (the band's favorite hangout). The group ranges in size from six to ten players (depending on the venue) and draws its set lists from all genres of music while feeding off its audience for energy and direction. Grant's Tomb plays the music its members love, resulting in a sound that mixes high-level musicianship with garage band passion. In addition to an ever-growing list of originals, Grant's Tomb covers the Dead, Phish, the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Band and Jimmy Cliff with a liberal dose of jazz, funk and blues thrown in.
